Dietetics

Dietitians are qualified health professionals who are focussed on improving health through establishing a greater knowledge of diet and nutrition.

At West Wimmera Health Service, this includes conducting broad-based community programs for school children, sporting clubs and community groups, assessing residents in aged care facilities and supporting hospital patients through their recovery.

Dietitians also support individuals, especially those who can benefit from a one to one consultation, such as those with diabetes and heart disease, or those who are pregnant or overweight.

Appointments

The Dietetics Department provides services in all WWHS communities. People can make their own appointment to see a dietitian or obtain a referral through a health professional.
