Dietetics
The dietetics department at West Wimmera Health Service is based in Nhill, but also provides services to Kaniva, Jeparit, Rainbow, Goroke and Natimuk.
Services include:
§ Nutritional assessment and advice for residents of the aged care facilities within WWHS
§ Tailored diets and supplements for patients on the Acute wards across the Service
§ A general outpatients clinic catering to all age groups.
People who may benefit from a dietetics consultationinclude those with diabetes, heart disease, or those who are pregnant, vegetarian or overweight. A comprehensive consultation is provided, including individual nutrition assessment and education about appropriate lifestyle modifications.
