Community Aged Care

Rural communities have a very strong sense of place and belonging. Elderly people in these communities may well have lived and worked there for their entire lives. We believe social and health benefits accrue when these people can remain living in their own homes and in the midst of their familiar community.

Consequently, West Wimmera Health Service strive to facillitate programs and packages which support older people in remaining in their homes. To make this possible we provide a range of support services, in large part supported by State and Federal Government Packages of care.
