More About Us

West Wimmera Health Service provides high-quality hospital care, residential aged care, disability services and community services to more than 16,000 people in the West Wimmera region. We deliver services that are compassionate, responsive, accessible and accountable to individual and community needs and which are designed to achieve quality outcomes.  

We employ close to 600 staff across nine campuses at Nhill, Kaniva, Jeparit, Rainbow, Goroke, Natimuk, Murtoa, Minyip and Rupanyup. Our organisation has a total of 150 residential aged care beds, 54 acute beds and a broad range of community health services available from many of our campuses, keeping our community well at home.

Expressions of Interest Welcome, Physiotherapists, Full or Part Time

If you're passionate about rural health... We want you!

Our Primary and Preventative Health services play an integral role in the overall health and wellbeing of our community.

We are seeking expressions of interest for Physiotherapists, all grades, in a full or part time capacity. We are always on the look out for people who are passionate about customer care, eager to learn and excited by the opportunity to make a difference in remote and rural communities.

Expressions of interest from new graduates are also welcome, and contributions of up to 50% of a successful applicant's HELP debt are negotiable as part of the package.

Those expressing interest should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or its equivalent and membership with Australian Health Practitioner and Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 
  • Proven abilities in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal, neurological and respiratory conditions using an evidence based and problem solving approach. 
  • An understanding of the unique nature of rural communities and a commitment to improving the overall health and wellbeing of these communities. 
  • A demonstrated ability to work both independently as well being an effective member or our Physiotherapy and multidisciplinary health teams, showing your initiative, enthusiasm and flexibility. 
  • A self-motivated and responsible professional, who is responsive to situations where a high level of autonomy is required.
  • Current Driver’s Licence is essential due to the requirement to complete regional travel.
