Enrolled Nurse Traineeship Program, commencing in early 2023

The Enrolled Nurse Traineeship is an excellent opportunity for those who have an interest in nursing or are seeking a change to initiate a meaningful and rewarding nursing career!

Enrolled nurses are integral within the clinical team to provide high quality care to patients and residents.

West Wimmera Health Service is looking for enthusiastic, passionate and motivated individuals to begin their career in nursing through our Enrolled Nurse­­­ (EN) Traineeship program. WWHS are dedicated in working in collaboration with our staff and members of our community to provide the best health care possible.

In partnership with Federation TAFE, successful applicants will be enrolled in the Diploma of Nursing, and will be paid to study and work while progressing to become Enrolled Nurses. Trainees will receive practical training across aged care and acute settings in a dynamic and rewarding work environment.

Successful applicants will commence the Enrolled Nurse (EN) Trainee Program in early 2023, and will conclude in late 2025 (course duration – 2 years).

Trainees will be paid per hour for their study time and placement, with pay starting at $967.40 (as per the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Health Services) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024) per week based on a full-time status.

Classes are held three days per week at Federation TAFE, Horsham. Throughout the traineeship, 400 hours of clinical experience will be completed across West Wimmera Health Service. Positions will be available at the following sites: Jeparit, Kaniva, Natimuk, Nhill, Rainbow and Rupanyup with the ability to move across sites.

We aim to offer this comprehensive program to all in the wider community who will embrace this career development opportunity and gain competent and professional nursing skills to provide care within our communities in the West Wimmera Health Service catchment area.

West Wimmera Health Service is seeking an Accountant / Bookkeeper in a full time capacity at our Nhill campus.

As the Accountant / Bookkeeper, you will be reporting to the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, taking on ownership of the day to day accounts including:

  • Completion of month end processes, journals and reconciliations
  • Preparation of all tax compliance including BAS and FBT 
  • Prepare funding acquittals and cost analysis
  • Monthly management reports with commentary 
  • Assist with monthly budgeting and forecasting of operations, projects and investments 
  • Adhoc reporting as required

West Wimmera Health Service provides high-quality hospital care, residential aged care, disability services and community services to more than 16,000 people in the West Wimmera region. We deliver services that are compassionate, responsive, accessible and accountable to individual and community needs and which are designed to achieve quality outcomes.  

We employ close to 600 staff across nine campuses at Nhill, Kaniva, Jeparit, Rainbow, Goroke, Natimuk, Murtoa, Minyip and Rupanyup.
