The Medical Imaging Department at Nhill Hospital is modern, advanced and fully accredited. It received Diagnostic Imaging Full Suite Accreditation against Full Suite Practice Accreditation Standards from Health and Disability Auditing Australia Pty Ltd for the period 5 May 2016 - 5 May 2020.

The services offered in Medical imaging at Nhill Hospital include X-ray, OPG, CT and Ultrasound examiniations conducted by fully qualified radiographers and sonographers. The imaging systems in Nhill are electonically linked to specialised radiologists based in Ballarat who supply prompt reports of all imaging results to all referrers. The Ultrasound service covers a broad range of disciplines which includes:

• Obstetric
• Gynaecologic
• Musculoskeletal
• General Ultrasound

While appointments for X-ray, OPG and CT are preferred, most examinations can be carried out on a walk-in basis.  There are some examinations that need to be pre-booked however.  Please phone ahead to schedule your appointment to eliminate your wait time and appointments are necessary for Ultrasound.
