Kaniva Aged Care

We operate two residential aged care facilities in Kaniva - one for those requiring higher care needs and one for those with low care requirements.

Archie Gray Nursing Home is an 11-bed high care facility adjoining Kaniva Hospital. All rooms are single with ensuite bathrooms.

Arthur Vivian Close Hostel is 10-bed lower care facility located a short distance from the Kaniva Hospital. Each self-contained two-bedroom cottage has a front and rear garden area, and an enclosed garage.

What we offer

We value and promote our residents’ privacy, freedom of choice and confidence. As a tight-knit team, we aim to provide an experience that supports each person to live the best life they can. We do this by creating an environment that promotes the interests of each resident. Both facilities offer a diverse daily activity program, designed to ensure residents interests and hobbies are pursued. Activities include group outings and bus trips, and celebrations of special events — all of which continue a connection to the local community.

We actively promote meaningful partnerships with our families and friends, believing that by everyone contributing, everyone belongs. We host regular meetings and events, where resident’s families are invited to come along and share a meal, some games and friendly conversation. Friends and families are welcome to visit at anytime.

Staffed by highly skilled professionals who believe it is a privilege to care for others, you can be assured your care is delivered with the upmost respect and dignity that you deserve.

Our philosophy is to ensure and enable all residents to live their life with dignity and comfort whilst encouraging them to pursue their own concept of a joyful and fulfilling life.
