Pregnancy Care
West Wimmera Health Service’s experienced Maternal and Child Health team provide antenatal care services to women across the communities we serve.
While our facilities don't accommodate maternity wards and birthing suites, our team is dedicated to ensuring you receive the best possible care, closer to home, throughout your pregnancy. From your very first appointment with us to your delivery day, we are here to collaborate with you, your birth partners, midwives and doctors to provide you with all the information, guidance, and support you need to make informed decisions and enjoy a healthy pregnancy for both you and your baby.
What we offer
We understand that pregnancy can be a daunting experience, especially for first-time mothers. At antenatal appointments with our team, we check in with mum and bub, offer advice on a range of topics, from nutrition and exercise to fetal development and childbirth preparation, as well as providing a safe and friendly space for you to ask any questions or raise any concerns. Our team can also guide you through the necessary checks and reviews as part of your pregnancy. For example, immunisations and pathology.

Collaboration is at the heart of our approach to antenatal care. We believe that working as a team with you and your doctor can provide you with the most comprehensive and personalised care plan that addresses your unique needs and concerns.
